MEET JAMIE
From an early age, Jamie Herrmann developed a passion for baseball. As most youngsters do, he started out in Little League then graduated to travel ball. His years of hard work and dedication to the game were rewarded, and he was fortunate enough to play college baseball. Since hanging up the spikes, his love for the game has not faded. He began coaching, working with players and teams in Texas, Alabama, Illinois, and Florida.
From his playing days and now while coaching, Jamie has seen baseball equipment evolve over the years. One thing that remains constant, though, is the baseball glove. There is one word that describes the relationship between a ballplayer and their glove - SPECIAL. The smell of the leather, the sound of the ball popping a mitt, and the feel of molding a new glove into a gamer is heavenly.

OUR GLOVES
The mission behind Bayou City Baseball Company is to provide ballplayers with a glove they can develop a special relationship with and be proud to wear on the field. We do not want players to have to break the bank, though, to sport a BC2 glove. We want anybody and everybody to use our gloves - from amateurs to professionals.
We have THREE models - our Rising Stars Series, our Big League Series, and our Hall of Fame series. Our Rising Stars gloves are made from cowhide leather which is a high quality leather with an easier break-in time. These gloves are tailored for our younger players. The Big League gloves are made from American kip leather, which is a premium, durable, stiff leather that will take more time to break in. Our Hall of Fame gloves are made from Japanese kip leather - ultra-premium, smooth, sturdy, and known for being one of the finest pieces of leather around. Kip leather comes from a younger steer, making it noticeably lighter than traditional steerhide, which is why it was chosen to make our Big League and Hall of Fame gloves. The Big League and Hall of Fame models are tailored for the elite ballplayer (travel ball, high school, college, and professional). Even though our gloves do not come game ready and take some time to break in, they should last for years and years. We want our customers to develop that special relationship with their BC2 glove as they get it ready for battle on the field.
